Happy Birthday, PeaBee writes;

My daughter's 11th birthday last year was quiet, but satisfying on all counts. She loved all her presents and allowed me a (very) brief photo session. While the photos are not the best I have ever taken, they certainly convey the day. She sat still to concentrate while reading the instructions (after getting changed into her new clothes) and then was a whirling dervish dancing to her new tunes.

I used the Scribble Scrabble Loverly Pink as background and the plaid for the matting. From the Heart paper I cut out a huge heart that I drew freehand to act as mat for the larger photo. The paper is edgy enough for pre-teen but still soft & girly and would be equally useful for baby & love pages.

Instead of using the matching Scribble Scrabble stickers I decided to go for a bolder look in the embellishments and used the Daisy D's Cardstock stickers - Hearts & Circles. Note: To make layering stickers easier, I dusted the back of the pieces that I was using magic mount behind with a little baby powder (cornstarch works too). This stops the adhesive on the back of the sticker from being sticky and makes it a die cut.
I then sprinkled around some of the Daisy D's All that Glitters rhinestone hearts around the page....even a heart on her cheek.

My journaling was done around the heart shape with a black writer and I doodled stems & leaves down from the stickers to make flowers. I stamped around the edge of the matting with the Studio G hearts & flowers stamp in polar blue and Studio G happy birthday on the centre of the flower in lilac.
