This was a layout that wasn't meant to be. In fact I was looking for other photos altogether when I came across this one of my eldest son. It is one of my favourite photos, and I just had to scrap it then and there.

The layout just sort of came together so quickly, and I must say I love it when that happens, when all the creativity seems to take over and appear on the layout in front of me!

The paper is from the Rouge de Garance kit, such great value and I still have more!

I let the pattern on the aile ou fleur no03 paper dictate the placement of the other elements. I then used bits of the other papers that I had cut when I made the summer accordion mini album. I added some of the co ordinating die cut embellishments, also in the kit, inked everything and stuck it all down with the photo on top.

When it was all in place I decided that I needed something to the bottom left of the photo. So I cut a strip of the border sticker and that solved the problem! While I had the border stickers out I decided to use the 'waste' strips from the outside of the stickers, this gave me the very narrow strips down at the bottom right hand edge.

The Dream tag seemed very apt at the time so I mounted it to chipboard adding dimension. The journaling is on another My Minds Eye tag slipped in behind the photo.

I found this great cork button and covered a chipboard letter both add more dimension.

I painted a couple of the grungeboard elements to colour cordinate with the paper and then the last things to do were to bend the grunge board to where I wanted it and add the rub ons, I even added one to the cork button. Got to love rub ons!
