Schools for fools, LeAnne writes;

The heading for this layout is very tongue in cheek! My son Steven was always complaining that school was not for him. School was for fools....

These school photos are from 2002, so it was about time that i did this layout LOL!

I kept the basis for it very simple, black cardstock and the black & white Life gaffer tape from 7 gypsies. I made up an exam paper and then got him to answer it on the K & Co, School Rules paper with a black zig pen. I roughed up the edges with my Heidi Swapp edge distresser and in that way I actually had Steven do the journalling. For a bit of fun I then corrected it with a red pen and awarded him a percentage mark!

One of the reasons for using the 7 Gypsies tape was to make a hinge on the group photo. His year was to big to be contained on the one group photo and so we had two. By putting the photo my son is in on the top and making a hinge on the side, we have the other photo there for years to come. So that we could find him amongst all of the faces I cut out a circle from the School Rules paper to focus the attention on him and his best friend.

Stapled down the side to attach his answers, stuck his photo on with strips of gaffer tape and then just added a bit of doodling with a white pen. I added a final bit of metal with a making memories clip and a 7 Gypsies paper clip which also helps to point out where he is in the group photo.

While this was a very tongue in cheek layout, when it was completed it reflects him better than any other school page I have done for him, right down to the crumpled paper LOL!
