Summer, LeAnne writes;

I am afraid that I can take no credit for the design of this terrific little album, all the credit goes to the lovely talented Céline Navarro. Céline designed and taught this class at the Paper Crafts festival in November 2007 and I was lucky enough to attend her class!

I managed to source the kits and have adapted the album to suit me. So this is my version.

The kit is absolutely full of lovely papers and embellishments. For this album I also used Heidi Swapp stamps, Distressing ink, Pens and a silver tape that is thicker than the one that Céline used. I like this one better as it gave me more 'play' with the embossing and this tape has stuck down so much better than the one we used in class.

First I painted all of the pages in the booklet, I love that as an accordian fold it can open either way and even side ways!

The tape is called flashtag, weatherproofing tape and is available from your local hardware store. Use old scissors when cutting it. I cut it into random pieces and stuck it to the front and back covers a bit haphazardly and overlapping in places. Then really burnish it into place, then I used a variety of cookie cutters, stamps and my stylus to emboss shapes into it.

Cover the tape with indian ink and let get tacky, then polish off the excess ink. The more you polish the more it looks like metal!

Then I inked and doodled as I stuck the papers and photos on. Added the embellishments from the kit and doodled on them too.

Just an added note; as I wasn't sure what some of the rub ons said, I used the letters as if they were alphabets!

I have lots more paper and embellishments left so be on the look out for more layouts :)
